Giving
Please generously support our parish and we depend on your kindness and generosity. Our presence in Shifnal has a history of 12 centuries, and St. Mary’s Shifnal dates back to 1854, hence 168 years of history. Our parish survived, with the blessings of the Lord, and by the generous kindness of the people of the Lord. In the following ways, you may donate to help our parish:
1. Offertory Collection During Mass
It is an age-long practice in the Holy Church that those who participate in the Holy Mass give of the fruit of their labour to support their local Church. This practice is originally coming from the Jewish custom of giving to God who is the source of all the blessings we enjoy in life.
2. Standing Order
You can set up a standing order to ensure regular giving to your Church, which is particularly helpful in planning finances. Please contact the Parish Priest, or one of the Parish Finance Committee members for more information.
3. One Off Giving
You can also support the parish by by giving a one-off donation which will be very much appreciated in helping to maintain the church building and facilities.
P.S.: Gift Aid
Donating through Gift Aid means that we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 given from the Government. It will not cost you any extra. If, in the past, you have already signed a Gift Aid declaration form, then we will assume that any further gifts are covered by this declaration, unless you specifically advise to the contrary.
